It has been a while since my last visit to the Court, physically. Since the pandemic strikes and the enforcement of series of MCO(s), almost all court matters were conducted via online means, if not being postponed to the next following date.

So last Tuesday, since Selangor has become a PKPB state instead of PKP, the Court has resumed its physical operation and as such, our attendance to the court has become necessary. So that Tuesday morning, I went to the Court, greeted the Jurubahasa and Bailif who were on duty, small chitchats then waited for our case to be called.

While waiting, a man wearing black and white together with a robe came into the courtroom and headed towards the staff's table. I heard the conversation and immediately understood that he was the plaintiff's solicitor, whose Defendant's solicitor of the case has informed the court last minute (at 10pm last night) that he was unable to attend today's matter due to the reason that he is tested positive Covid-19. He also enclosed his MC, but then we all were made to understand that the MC was actually produced by the Defendant's clinic. The man; the Plaintiff's solicitor indeed seemed unhappy with that situation, requested the case to be called anyway for him to 'meet' the Honorable judge. And immediately the Jurubahasa agreed.

Therefore, his case was called before us, despite he came in later than us.

'I hope you don't mind, it will be just a short housekeeping.' the man said to us, his fellow junior lawyers who were sitting and waiting there.

The judge entered and indeed his case was called first. He stood up very confidently and spoke to Yang Arif very eloquently that I envied him again because of that.

I envied him at first when he spoke to the court staffs, and they were so obedient and so happy to fulfil his request of meeting the judge in spite of absence of his opponent, and few other matters. And now that he spoke very fluently to YA regarding all the arising issues between him and his opponent, also making some requests some more, really put me in awe.

I said to myself that day that as much as I actually wanted to quit, to call it off and to cut ties with this profession - every single day in my life - there is some part in me as well who wish to stay in the practice for so long until I become like that senior lawyer, who seemed to have nothing to fear of. He was so confident and upright, as if whatever he is saying is correct and nothing but the truth. YA was indeed convinced by him and that made him looked more awesome.

While a little eaglet like me will be having a lot of problems, even with the court staffs for certain issues, whatmore to elegantly speak before Yang Arif, speaking of the things me myself is not confident to spout.

Allahu.

Indeed I still have a LOT to learn :')

Whatever it is, selamat maju jaya Yam :D

For your future reference, Maryam :)

"How many years you have been on practice ye Maryam?" tiba-tiba beliau bertanya di hujung talian.

"Eh, saya baru lagi, Mr S. Very young lawyer, unlike you - very senior one, Sifu." sempat saya berseloroh dalam berhati-hati menyusun kata. No matter how nice and friendly he is, I shall never put my guard down even when speaking only over the phone with my opponent lawyer. Bukanlah nak sangka buruk dengan orang, cuma that is how our profesion works :D

"No, seriously. You dah berapa lama praktis?" he repeated the question very eagerly.

"I am just entering my second year, Mr S." monoton. Cuba untuk yakin, namun rasanya tak kedengaran berapa yakin haha. He is someone who has been in practice for sometimes around 15 years. I am actually honored to be in the same court, fighting over the same case with him, though being his oppponent.

"Really? Are you serious? You baru nak masuk second year ke?" ulang dia, sungguh beriya-iya. Adui.

"Iya, Mr S. Saya baru setahun lebih praktis."

"You know, I told my co-counsel the other day we met at court Melaka, Mr I tu, that you look so so matured. Macam bukan baru praktis setahun dua."

I dont know whether this gentleman is sugarcoating things ke apa. I know maybe I should not, but I still want to take that as compliment. Ha ha. Coming from my opponent lawyer, it feels good somehow. As if being acknowledged. Walaupun he may just be polite or be kind towards his young junior member of the Bar, still I want to put it down here :)

"Alah, cantiknya.

Saya ni baru sangat lagi." macam biasalah, ni bukan ayat merendah diri. Tapi ayat sedar diri!

This was back then in 2019, when the cases kebanyakannya memang physical appearance compared to now semua nak kena online. Ereview lah, skype lah, zoom lah, exchange email lah :'D

"Saya baru nak dekat setahun puan. Still in my first year." Masa ni lagi segan nak bagitahu Puan Z ni. She has been practising for 20 years. Back then she was attending the pengurusan case being the lawyer for Defendant, and I was representing the Plaintiff. Kau bayangkan gap tuuu. Masha ALLAH.

"Really? I didnt expect that. You look so confident!" saya pandang muka Puan Z yang senyum mesra.

"Yeke puan? Saya tengah menggigil ni." I chose to joke around to handle the compliment, that she laughed.

"Dont worry. Itu biasa. Saya pun masih lagi rasa nervous kadang-kadang." rileks beliau tabur nasihat. Maklumlah, dah 20 tahun praktis!

Those are among examples and experiences that I encountered, being a lawyer for setahun lebih ni. My answer will be no. Bosses saya juga pemurah dengan pujian, and teammates/officemates also always full with kata-kata semangat.

Tapi bila dengar benda-benda macam ni unexpectedly from unexpected person, rasa macam satu accomplishment. They need not to do that pun, but they still do anyway.

But when it comes to talking over the phone or face to face conversation, the senior lawyers, mostly (:D) have been soooo nice and kind.

Like Mr S, "yelah extension of time. I tak kisah lah Maryam. Kalau I pun I mintak extension, macam I minta haritu yang you all tak bagi tuu. Tapi I faham jee. Kalau I jadi u pun I x bagi extension macam tuu."

He was so funny over the phone, albeit so challenging to handle during the trial/hearing hehe (with all due respect sir, this is a compliment to you :D). And he was being so understanding with all the refusal we said to him over his applications etc.

'It's okay Maryam. I understand. If I were you pun I buat macam tu. Tak apa. I buat kerja I, you pun buat kerja you. We both have clients. We both have works and amanah to fulfill. Kita tengok rezeki siapa."

He sounded so positive and full with empathy. I would not say I have fallen for his words, that I put my guards down when I was communicating with him. Just mentioning here to commemorate his generosity and probably something I can learn to when I am to be a senior lawyer in the future : )

And here I am writing all these for my future reference and assurance, in case the doubt comes, again. If again I ask myself, why would u want to be a lawyer? Atau, will you quit from being a lawyer?

Belum lagi cerita tentang kebaikan anak guam etc. Masha ALLAH.

Maryam, come back here and read this. Remember all the moments that you feel so accomplished and acknowledged. The moment you feel so appreciated. The feeling of satisfaction when all the hard work paid off. The feeling of satisfaction when you can discharge you duty very well and your client is so happy with you. And how you make your bosses and colleagues proud of you. And how you make you yourself proud of you. Your parents? Worry not. They are always proud of u no matter what you do.

Selamat maju jaya, Maryam. Dont feel weak. No one can belittle nor degrade you. You are amazing and you are going to be amazing, always insha ALLAH :)

Love,

Maryam Jamilah.

Peguam Syarie Wilayah-wilayah Persekutuan

 Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

13 Ogos 2020. Longcall syariah, Maryam panggil. Sebenarnya Majlis Pentauliahan dan Pensijilan Peguam Syarie Wilayah-wilayah Persekutuan 2020. Usaha sejak hujung tahun lepas. Patutnya majlis bulan 4, tapi push back for four months due to pandemic. I believe there are huge rooms for improvement di pihak penganjur untuk masa akan datang, bagi memudahkan semua pihak.

Wassalam.

How We Interpret Things Differently

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

I've been meaning to write this for quite some time already, tapi sekarang sejak2 dah bekerja (ecewah) waktu terasa begitu berharga hinggakan sekelumit masa lapang pun kau ada macam2 plan dalam kepala which end up dengan, tidur mungkin? Haha

Okay back to the story.

Since now I am reading in chambers, well actually locus 9 bulan dah habis. Tapi kena ganti cuti yada yada so yeah here I am still in the same firm, counting down days to complete my pupillage.

So I did. In fact still do. I have to complete 14 mandatory days of service, to which masih in the process of mengganti jugak sebab my duty day adalah hari Selasa, yang mana tahun 2018 menyaksikan sungguh banyak cuti umum pada hari Selasa. Maka, sampai ke tahun 2019 haaaaa aku masih mengganti.

Rutin dekat legal aid ni menarik jugak, compared to office la sebab my firm mostly buat conveyancing. So when I go to this legal aid, I got to meet more people and interact more with humanbeings live before my eyes, sebab kalau kat ofis, kalau bercakap dengan manusia pun via phone calls je, kalau tak cakaplah kau dengan file ke pokok bunga bos ke. Uhuhuhu

So people will walk in for the session. Apa yg kitorg as chambie kena buat adalah dengar masalah diorang, kumpul fakta, rujuk pegawai undang2 then only get back to the client for the answer. Tak boleh hentam keromo je bagi nasihat directly sebab kami masih belum officially an advocate and solicitor, masih belum call to the bar jadi masih belum layak untuk bagi legal advice.

Among the four officers, there are two of them yang Yam lebih suka refer. Diorang akan directly bagi advice according to what we tell them, and we got to advice the client quickly. The rest two tu kurang sikit. One of them is accountant, tapi sebab kekadang dia yang kena jawab phone calls so dia dah well versed dengan legal matters so a legally qualified accountant lah haha. Another one is the superior officer, to which bagi Yam she is the most challenging officer to deal with.

When you come to her and reiterate the facts to her, dia akan inquiry kau banyak banyak banyak, which some of the questions tu kau tak pernah terfikir pun utk tanya client kau. Dua, sebab kapasiti minda kau belum sampai tahap tu.

Lepastu bila kau gagal jawab soalan kau, terus dia cakap kau tak cukup facts. Kau tak cukup cerita. Hence dia tak boleh nak tolong kau advise client. Maka kau pun patah balik ke client, interview sekali lagi the whole things to get clearer picture and go back to her for advise. Awal2 dulu Yam sampai kena 3-4x masuk jumpa client balik. Serius rasa demotivated sangat depan client sebab lepas datang balik dan tanya few soalan, "sekejap ye encik, saya kena consult bos saya dulu", which client usually akan faham tapi mehhhh, kau punya pride tu rasa gedebush terendam di dalam diri kau yang paling dalam.

So Yam conclude kan, kalau boleh elakkan jumpa this boss haha untuk elakkan stres Yam untuk jumpa dia, dan untuk hadap klien. Sebab kekadang bendanya simple je. Bila dah banyak kali kena handle benda hampir sama, criminal contohnya, kes samun berkumpulan ke kes curi ke, jawapan dia hampir sama. Tapi berbeza sikit2 ikut situasi dan pelaku. Jadi dah boleh dah kalau Yam terus nak direct advice client tanpa consult.

Tapi yam memang akan consult jugak boss ni kalau benda ni extravagant, peculiar atau rare, sebab indeed memang dia more knowledgeable compared to others. Kalau tak, takkan jadi boss khennnn haha.

But there's this one person I met, totally opposite with me. Dia sangat suka consult boss ni dan sanggup tunggu kalau boss ni busy dengan benda lain. She will not consult other officers and will have to advice the client a bit later than supposed to lah, sebab dia memang insist nak advice daripada bos ni je.

"I suka consult dia. Dia akan tanya macam-macam dan berikan jawapan yang berbagai. So I tahu nak advice client I macam mana, thanks to her wide explanation. Cuma stres la sebab bila soalan dia I tak boleh jawab, dia cakap I kurang fact la, kadang kalau phone call client, I kena call balik banyak kali untuk dapatkan info. Challenging, but interesting."

I see.

So Yam pun termenung jap.

It depends on how we perceive things rupanya.

Aku interpret benda ni mace ni, orang tu macetu. Tapi boleh jadi orang lain interpret benda sama, manusia sama, tapi lain benar interpretationnya/ Aku mungkin rasa benda ni boleh nak simplifykan, so kenapa nak complicated the things? Tapi kawan ni pulak fikir, lagi banyak 'what if(s)' tu lagi bagus, sebab mana kita betul2 tahu situasi client yg minta legal advice tu?

Tapi part stres tu mutual. So, undeniable eh. HAHA

Maka lepas muhasabah diri, Yam belajar banyak perkara la.

So, tanyalah dulu perkara tu pada other legal officers, pastu bgtau client kau. Kalau kau tak puas hati, bila boss ni free, kau consult lah. Then kalau jawapan dia lain ke, bgtau semula pada klien kau. Takde lah kau buat dia menunggu berjam-jam semata2 kau nak dapatkan nasihat bos je. Officer lain pun ada legal qualification tau.

So gitulah hidup ni. Aku belajar daripada kau, kau belajar daripada aku. Yang baik, sama2 amalkan. Yang tak berapa nak helok tu, sama2 hindarkan.

Ok?

Haaaaaaa cepat doakan urusan chambering Yam yang berbaki beberapa perkara lagi ni berjalan dengan lancarrrrr aaamiiin :)

Wassalam.

Maryam Jamilah

Yam's Road to Pupillage

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Assalamualaikum wbt.

It's April already, which means that I have finished my law school two months ago. I precisely finished my last paper for my final examination at the end of January, then February and March have been months that gave me so many life lessons, which some of them I already learnt during my previous years. Somehow a revision, I can say.

The ending of the law school for a law student like me means to take another step in life - chambering/pupillage. A phase which is very crucial to every law student who wishes to practice afterwards in the legal world.

Somehow, it has been a competition, to those who take that as a race. Who got the firm quickly right after finishing the law school. Who got the firm which actively does every branch of law, such as conveyancing, litigation, corporate etc, or who got the firm which does the branch of law that they want to. Who got the firm which pays more. Who is happier at the firm.Who gets best master in the world who will supervise the 9 months perios of pupillage. Who is better at this, who is better at that etc.

Some will choose to take some time off to cool down after the battle with the subjects during the final examination. As for me, my original plan was to commence my pupillage as soon as possible, which was to be at February. I wished to be called to the bar within this year, so I can struck one thing off of my wish list.

However it did not happen that way. Despite had been sending my resume to the potential firms that I've been eyeing for some time, I still did not get any reply from any of the firm - be it any email, or phone call, whatmore an invitation to interview. That lasted until February. After coming back from Jakarta, which was a family trip that I am so thankful for - I tried harder and harder just to ensure that at least I will get calls for interviews.

And then, the first call came in from a firm which was located nearby my shared house. I was so happy, and at the same time, was so nervous that I could not sleep, talk nor eat properly before the IV. I prepared a lot by reading newspaper, to ensure that I kept myself updated with the current issues.

It was a normal experience. They said to call me the next day if I got the offer. I anticipated it somehow, and the next day felt so long for me to finish, but no call was received. And that became my first failure in interview.

The first that later followed by the second, third and later on. To note, as of March, I have been sending my resume to 30 firms, which only 8 of them called me up for interview. Failed 6 of them, 1 of them wished to have 'cheap labor' by paying me only some amount of money for my duit minyak despite of being a successful law firm in a big city, and another one, which is the one that I accepted the offer after quite some time of consideration, willing to facilitate me with almost everything that I might be needed to have a condusive environment of pupillage at her law firm.

I wish to say that there is no determined format for an interview. The basic would be - to prepare mentally and physically for the interview, come early, dress properly etc. BUT there will be differences - in the sense that some of the interviewer might be asking you mind-challenging questions, but some will not. Some will be interested to know about you, but some will be only interested in telling you about they themselves and the firm. Some will be very serious and some will be very lay back. Some will be very happy to chit chat with you, going with the flow of conversation, but some will be very prepared with interview questions that they will stick to the questions no matter what. Some will require you to fill in forms and answer questions/test, but some will not even print out the resume and cover letter that you sent them. Some will interview you individually, but some may want to have their partners to interview you.

See.

Too many patterns and various style of interview.

So, what you have to do?

Just go to the interviews, answer questions, and meet the firm/master that you think suit yourself the most. And here is one expensive tips ; just be yourself. Don't ever think to change your virtue just to satisfy people who have potential to be your employer in the future. You will suffer along the period of employment, losing your self-faith and pride of yourself.

Don't be like that.

Even me, I have been told so many times, in one of the interview, that I am too honest, that they  cannot bear to offer me the pupillage because of my honesty. Too many times in such a short moment of interview, at the point that it crossed my mind that I am a criminal for being too honest. They, who disvalued my honesty, even rejected me in front of my eyes and ears. But because of my honesty as well, that I kept afterwards, even after the interview, has become a point for me to get accepted at the firm which offered me the pupillage. She told me to be frank with her, and I did, so she said she was very happy with me. Me? Much more. Because I know it is not only me that she wants, but my honesty that I have with me. That's it.

My friends and I have been in talks about spiritual so many times, especially the time when we supported and comforted each other, every time we didn't get the offer from the firm that we wished to.

One of the wisdom words I will always remember is that - we asked the best from Him. To place us at the best place with the best master, to bless us with the best firm which has the best environment that will be the best for we ourselves, our religion etc.

But honey, being the best will not necessarily mean that everything will go smoothly after you got the offer. It may be difficult, it is not impossible to be hard and difficult, HOWEVER, that is when you will learn. That is why you will learn things. That is how you will appreciate things and people. And that is how you are going to be thankful to Him.

I am nervous, to be honest, to begin my pupillage this upcoming Wednesday. I asked around, and my dear friends will say it is normal. I hope so, because even today is only Sunday, my heart is beating like crazy that I do not know how to control it.

These February and March have given so many new experiences and feelings to me. That I have never felt before. Being rejected, being dejected, being sad with everybody, being upset with you yourself, not being able to feel anything anymore that you do not care about a thing at all anymore, even feeling humiliated, and so many more unexplanable feelings and tastes of life. Nonetheless, I believe I learnt a lot too. Things that were difficult for me to handle, have become things that I have seen the wisdom behind it. Things that I am very worried about, have become solved matters, yet I still have things that I will be worried about.

I guess it is one of the chapters in my life. Alhamdulillah only a two-months worth chapter. I am glad that regardless of getting the offer late, it is only as late as two months. I do not know how well I will cope if it becomes more than that. I afraid that I will lose faith, probably not with Him, but with me myself, that I hope I will never will. Passed that two months, I now can clearly see the wisdom behind the things that had happened for the past months. Alhamdulillah, I cannot stop being grateful to Him that I still can deliciously taste His love despite what has happened.

I humbly seek prayers and kind du'as from you guys who might be reading this blog, at this point, at this time. I am a person with so many doubts, fears, thoughts and worries, which some of them might be unnecessary, which will tire me out everyday. I am not a risk taker, I afraid of the result that may not be in my favor, which is the reason why it is very hard for me to make any decision.

But somehow I believe I can channel myself some good thoughts, despite what happened. I am a someone who probably still can think positively no matter how bad the things are. A person who will say that in the event that I lost some money, it is actually how ALLAH SWT wishes to purify my property. A person who will say that in the event that a parking lot that I've been waiting for is snatched by other people who has just arrived, I am going to get a better parking lot in a while, or that person might need the parking lot more urgent than me. A person like that, I am.

You know how difficult to be one like that, kan? HAHA. So kindly please please please pray for me that everything will go nicely between my master and I for these 9 months of pupillage. So that my brother's family whom I will be living with will be happy to have me around, that I will not be of any burden to them. So that I will be a stronger person whenever things go harder. So that I can be a more grateful person. So that my master can accept my mistakes and tolerate them nicely. So that I will not be doing something that will affect my life terribly.

Semoga.

Thank you so much for reading, and may this be a good read for me in the future.

And lastly, humbly please pray for me, as well as these fellow friends-in-law of mine, to be good lawyers (or legal practitioner), fiddunya wal akhirah.
Aamiin.

G-Day! [ Yam's Graduation Day and some useful tips for IIUM convocation ceremony]

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Alhamdulillah thumma alhamdulillah. Wahh dak-dak UIA sangat tau hahaha.

Jumaat tu kecoh UIA banjir, sebab hujan lebat non stop for hours. Yam pun nasib baik keluar awal sikit jeee daripada UIA, dalam jam 3.30pm, tu pun dah menempuh air depan Mahallah Safiyyah. Tapi pukul 4.30pm tu dengar ceritanya lagi dahsyat. Masha ALLAH. Moga dipermudahkan urusan mereka yang terjejas kerana banjir kilat tuu.

Maka, kami para graduan ni dah cuak. Jumaat banjir, Sabtu tu hari pertama konvokesyen. Minta jauhlahhh hujan lebat, apatah lagi banjir. Lecak depan IIUM Cultural Center (IIC which formerly known as CAC Hall) tu, maka tak seronoklah hari graduasi. Apatah lagi kalau banjir.

Sabtu, hujan lagiii. Tapi tak banjir. Ahad, hujan jugak. Tapi dah berkurang. Isnin, alhamdulillah sangat, panas ceng-ceng, lit-lit. Selasa tu pulak baru start hujan. Subhanallah, ALLAH punya kerja.

Okey, back to my session.

Last day, yeap. Last session, yes. Sesi petang. Memang agak tak favor sesi petang ni, sebab selain nak masuk dewan tu rushing dengan solat Zuhur, bila keluar dewa tuu rushing dengan solat Asar pulak. Tapi takpelah, tak hujan pun dah cukup besar nikmat, maka kita redhakan sahaja :)

Since session Yam hari Isnin, memang dah rasa sayu syahdu nian hati ini sebab dapat agak dah, abang kakak yang bekerja berkemungkinan besar tak boleh hadir - susah kot nak cuti. Bukan semua pun boleh masuk dewan tengok konvo, kalau ambil cuti dan datang pun, kena berpanas pulak haa. Kesian, dengan budak-budak lagi. So, Yam dah pesan pada diri sendiri, jangan nak excited sangat haha.

Okaylah tu, daripada awal-awal tuu, I didnt even think to hire any photohgrapher. Tapi lepastu tetap semangat tangkap gambar guna phone, like hundreds of pics. Hiks.

Ya anak-anak, adik-adik. Bukan senang nak konvo. Kau kena isi borang tu borang ni, kena selalu updated dengan tarikh ambil jubah, hantar jubah apa semua tu. Kena fikir baju, photoshoot and some even consider make up. Akak faham dik, kau tunggu like 5-6 years since foundation for your graduation day (will be referred as G-day as of afterwards), so wajarlah kau nak berhias diri sikit daripada hari kebiasaan. Silakan, silakan. Tapi jangan sesekali kecam orang pemalas cam akak ni yang tetap tepek bedak Johnson Baby je kahkah pastu mulalah by evening keluar dewan tuu muka serupa teh ais kelat huks

Tapi ni since Yam tahu parents datang sebab G-day Yam, maka I have that kind of responsibility to entertain them most of the times, if not all.

So mulai hari Jumaat tu Yam fetch dorang kat aiport, bawa pergi rumah abang kakak, bawa ke sana ke sini, dan finally hantar balik ke airport on Rabu, meskipun kena monteng kelas. Ihiks padahalmemangsukamonteng huhuhu. Bukannya diorang minta atau suruh, tapi maybe kami dah terbiasa dengan cara macam tu kot, which I hope it is a good thing for our parents dan moga istiqamah :)

So the day came. Yam bawak mak dan ayah serta Kak Yah ke UIA pagi Isnin tu around 11 something, for the session will begin at 1.30pm. Dinasihatkan kalau engkau sesi petang, before 12 dah masuk UIA sebab taknak stuck dalam jammed orang yang sesi pagi nak balik. Cari parking as close as possible dengan CAC atau masjid, considering your parents. Kalau convo on weekend okay sikit kot, sbb boleh parking tempat staf. Tapi bila weekday, hari bekerja, mana boleh parking tempat staf. Memang ada port lain, tapi limited lah. That's why come as early as possible. Early birds get good worms, remember? Ewahh. Kahkah maka hari kejadian tu, Yam usahakan parking dekat building Engineering, so dekat dengan both masjid dan CAC Hall. Dekat tak dekat, 5mins jugak berjalan, which was agak jauh jugak la untuk my parents yang dah reach 60 y/o tuuu.

Satgi takde benda tu, tak terpanggil nama kau kat stage. Invitation card tu je bagi kat parents. Takde benda tuuu, xboleh masuk pulak parents. Jangan duk buat loqlaq tauuu.

Okay, masuk hall. Pasal attire. Girls please have jarum peniti nak letak dekat topi supaya nicely attached dengan tudung. By the way, nanti akan ada akak-akak staf/komiti yang akan tolong, so dont worry too much. Tapi just in case, prepare your own jarum la. Cukup ah. Kot-kot nak calit sebelum naik stage kan.

Oh btw pasal attire especially girls, uni lain akak taktahu diknon oi, tapi kalau UIA, sisters WAJIB pakai tudung kaler krim. MESTI plain, takde corak apa2. And since you are going to wear that the whole day, maka please wear something that you are comfortable with, yang kau takkan rasa tak konfiden. Contohnya selalu pakai bawal, janganlah hari konvo tu kau degil nak pakai shawl satgi kau rasa x selesa susah dik ooi. Kalau nak pakai shawl jugak, biasakan diri pakai shawl dulu seminggu dua sebelum konvo. Get yourself used to that first, until you feel confident. Sebab kalau konfiden, anything looks good on you sweetie. Why? Because confidence is the bet jewelry a girl can ever wear. Okay? Ahaaa

Btw kasut kena dark in colour. Black, dark brown and dark blue. Please adhere the supposed attire, satgi committee deny entry engko akak taktahuu. Haha takdela sampai x kasi masuk, tapi nanti diorang akan kasi attire yg menepati majlis, which can be tudung sarung kaler krim, atau kasut saiz gedabak kaler gelap. Since you will never want to wear something like that and look bad on the stage and in the pic, please please please follow je rules tu ya :)

Okay back to the session in the hall.

Session tu biasa lah ada selawat, nyanyi lagi UIA dan Negaraku etc, but you shall not miss out the moment YB Rector bagi speech. It was really meaningful. Macam kitorang, YB Rector umpamakan kami ikan-ikan yang berenang di akuarium UIA, yang sudah sedia untuk dibebaskan di lautan terbuka di luar sana, and she gave some life advices that I would treasure them. So, pay attention dekat Rector's speech, for it would be so nice to be listened to, and to be recalled of one fine day. Tauuu. Jangan tidur pulak, dah-dahlah tuuu tidur dalam lecture 4-5 tahun lepas mwahahaha. (I was saying this to myself by the way, with all due respect :D)

On the side note, kalau ayah kau seorang pembaca tegar, macam ayah Yam, pesan kat dia masuk hall tu bawak buku please. So that takde la dia bosan nunggu sesi habis. Tapi takleh keluar sebab tak lawa la pulak kan. Protokol pun kena jaga juga. So stay je la sampai habis sesi. Ayah Yam duk belek buku tentatif entah berapa juta kali kakakakaka kesian beliau.

Mak?

Whatsapp, tangkap gambar, ambik video, banyak guna bateri ye mak. So, seperti mana ibundaku, titipkan pesanan pada ibundamu jua supaya bawak powerbank nak layan telpon dalam dewan tuuu hihi

Okay, sesi tamat. Keluar dewan. Haaa ni part rushing sikit. Semua orang nak keluar. Dahaga, lapar, nak solat, semua ada. Kat sini kau kena berlapang dada dan banyakkan bersabar. Orang ramai, berpusu-pusu. Tapi tetap rileks kayhh.

Yam kenmain gembira bukan kepalang bila keluar hall tuuu ada semua abang kakak abang ipar kakak ipar dan anak-anak menakan! Abang Yam cuti, abang ipar kakak ipar half day, kakak pun half day, bebudak cuti (ponteng) sekolah, makaaaaaaa meriahlah gambar convo Yam alhamdulillah.

Terima kasih for making it, sibs. And for the flowers. Oh btw sebab ni session last, banyak bunga murah-murah, rm10 untuk bouquet bebesar, rm5 untuk kecik sikit, in fact kitorg dapat bouquet free je mwahahaha regardless, thanksss. Lepastu penat la sikit nak jaga bunga tuu tetiap hari kena tukar air, and after seminggu dah boleh buang sebab layu. Huhuhu anyway it's the thought that counts, kan? Makanya, muchas graciasss :3

Okay lepas sesi bergambar sesikit, maka pi lah solat. Masa ni curi masa jumpa kekawan sekejap dan tangkap gambar. Tapi serius tak ramai yang Yam sempat jumpa, sebab memang dengan family je most of the times. Takde masanya nak gi cari kawan kejap. Kalau jumpa pun, kebetulan je. Takpe, next time ya.

Sampai rumah around 2 am haa tak ke pengsan engko, the next day tu memang tak lah nak kelas hahaha. (Akak kan LLBS so the day after convo terus ada kelas.)

So, ni pengalaman pertama. Berlapang dada, whatever the feeling is, moga Tuhan izinkan kau bersyukur dengan segala kurniaanNya.

Ada satu moment tu Yam tak percaya yang Yam akan bergraduasi, like for real my G day has come?!

Tahniah, Yam, for you LLB.
Sikiiiiiiiiit lagi untuk LLBS. Tahun depan, kita naik stage lagi ya :)

Happy G-Day, Maryam Jamilah!
Now officially an alumni of IIUM! :)

Wallahu'alam, wassalam.

Terima kasih Samyang's Hot Chicken Ramyen!

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim :)

3-4 hari sebelum raya haji, BangMat si abang sulung dan keluarga dah pun sampai ke kampung halaman. Iqbal si anak saudara sulung yang darjah 5 tuu tak habis-habis bercakap pasal sukanya dan gemarnya dia pada instant noodle Samyang, siap sembang pasal #SamyangChallenge and stuffs.

So, malam raya tu, Yam bagitau dia ;

"Abang tolong Che Sue vacuum ruang tamu ni, nanti Che Sue belanja ramyen yang Abang duk sebut-seut tuu."

"Betul?" dia minta kepastian, tidak yakin dengan kata-kata Che Suenya ini.

Heh, Yam sendiri pun tak pasti dengan kata-kata Yam hiks. Tapi Yam anggukkan je sambil fikir dalam kepala, I'm so gonna find any IG shop yang jual Samyang by packet, bukan yang sebungkus 5 paket tuu. Kakakaka #CheSueKedekut hahaha. Takk bukan kedekut tapiii buat apa beli bebanyak, siapa nak telan benda pedas tuuu kecuali Iqbal? Haha #ReasonNotExcuse :D

So he really did, vakum seluruh ruang tamu. Adik-adik dia pun ada menolong sikit-sikit, nak menumpang sesuap dua Samyang lettew hahaha

Dipendekkan cerita, berkat sumbangan BangNaim, Yam berjaya beli sebungkus Samyang tuuu dekat Aeon haha. Unplanned pun sebenarnya, tapi Kak Ti (big sister) yang offer tanya nak tak, lepastu dia paw duit suami dia (read - mangsa kejadian : BangNaim :D ), makaaa Yam pun bawa pulanglah sebungkus Samyang Hot Chicken Cheese kat Iqbal.

Tak sempat masuk rumah lagi, dia keluar sambut dekat pintu dan upon seeing the Samyang inside the plastic bag, terus terkinja-kinja dia melompat dan.... dia memeluk Che Suenya ini hikhikhik

YES, THE ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD-BOY HUGGED ME! Unconsciously kot, for like... 5 seconds, sebab lepas tu terus gesa-gesa lari masuk dalam rumah. Malu lettew haha. To note, dah lamaaaaa tak ada that kind of skinship dengan Iqbal haha. Sejak dia besar ni, nak peluk jarang sangat, cium pipi apatah lagi. The far I can go, selain dia salam cium tangan, adalah geletek dia jeee. Haha selain tu, takdeeee. Malu katanya. Ye lah, dah besar.

Tapi ni, dia sendiri yang datang peluk, so I was happy, walaupun terkejuttt. Wasn't prepared for that, regardless, it feels good. Hiks

So, thank you, Samyang sayang, for becoming the reason of Iqbal hugging me haha.

Gitulah anak-anak, sekejap je dah besar. Sekejap je dah malu kita nak peluk cium dia. Sekejap je lagi dah masuk sekolah menengah, masuk Uni, ada makwe, makin tidok leeee nak bermanja haha. That's why Yam excited ni, bila Iqbal yang initiated the hug :)

Maka malam tu adik dia si Ikmal tu nak tumpang makan Samyang, walhal tak vakum pun, Yam paksa peluk Yam selama 10 saat haha kenmain tak ikhlas dia peluk dengan sebelah tangan je. Ceish Ikmalll :D

Sekian, tulisan ringkas untuk bacaan masa hadapan :)

Wassalam.

psst. Yam masih prefer Maggi Kari dengan telur. Haha #TakMudahTerpengaruh :D

Bandung Trip July 2017 : Day 1 and 2

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim :)

*dah lama entri ni jadi draft dekat dashboard blog. Pastuuuu baru triggered untuk post sebab baru lepas tengok gegambar Rozita Che Wan pergi Bandung kat IG beliau -> https://www.instagram.com/rozitachewan1/ * :D

Alhamdulillah Tuhan sudi luangkan kesempatan untuk Yam bercuti bersama keluarga. Tak jauh mana pun, Bandung, Indonesia je. Tapi okeylah kan. Harituuu lagi, as in, few months back lagi dengar cerita mak nak bawa Yam dan kakak ke Bandung. Ingatkan gegurau manja aje. Kami pergi 4 hari 3 malam jee, 24 Julai hingga 29 Julai 2017 :)

Le momsi and le sissy. Cikgu Asiah engkorang dengan kakak Yam, yang nama betulnya Mardhiyyah, tapi akhir-akhir ni Yam panggil dia Margaret. Dulu panggil Markonah kejap. Haha

Ewahhh walking together hand to hand kettewww :D

Ni gambar kandid Cikgu Kamal engkorang tengah shopping bekalan makanan di Jaya Grocer KLIA2 tuuu. Wah sangat tauuu.

Cubaan gambar acah hipster yang jelas-jelasnya GAGAL :'D

Gigih pinjam novel ni daripada FiqSham dan baca semula (sebab dah pernah baca sebelum ni) sebab nak ambil feeling Kota Bandung.

Makanya Mas, lagi tungguin Maryam di Kota Bandung ya. Ihik (Dah lah hero cerita ni nama dia Reza tau. Omo Reza Rahadian kuuuu hiks )

Tapi takdak pun. Nasib baik Yam salin siap-siap phone number hotel, jadi daripada jalan keluar Ketibaan Antarabangsa tu, korang ke kiri jeee, akan jumpa kaunter informasi, pastu minta airport staff tu call-kan hotel. Gratisss. Iya, percuma aje.

Phone number pulak, in case jadi macam Yam ni. Nak kena call hotel apa semua. Jadi, susahlah kalau takde phone number hotel.

TIPS lagi : Masa kau mendarat tuu, lepas cop pasport, scan barang apa semua, keluar je kat Arrival Hall tu (tapi bandara dia ni kecil jeee. Tapi baru! Berbayar of course. Sebab tu masa nak booking hotel siap-siap tu, cari yang offer transportation from and to airport terus. Senanggg, sebab kalau hotel dekat-dekat, transportation service ni free daripada hotel.

TIPS lagi : Terus beli simcard dekat airport kalau nak guna internet sepanjang masa di Indonesia, bukan hanya di lobi hotel jeee. Terus suruh adik tu masukkan dalam phone korang. Senang cerita. Karang nak pasang sendiri kat hotel, kalau apa-apa, satu hal pulak nak ke airport balik. Booth SIMpati ni dekat dengan Domestic Arrival Hall. Alah, tanya je kat information counter tuu macam Yam buat haha.

Takkan sampai RM20 kauuu. Tapi memandangkan Mak dan Ayah yang dah keletihan, pastu pulak perhaps we wont be getting any better offer pun, maka kami setuju.

Tapi lepas tuuu Bapak cuma ambil IDR 50, 000 jeee lepas Yam buat muka kesian hahaha. Kesian beliauu. Mungkin sebab dah malam, dah kurang trafik, so lalulintas lancar je ke hotel, jimat minyak dia, so yeah - okeylah IDR 50, 000.

Masuk hotel, terus Yam fire budak receptionist tuuu hahaha kesian dia. Beria-ia adik tu angguk haha kesian naw!

So malam tu kitorang check in, rehat, makan megi (sebab tak larat dah nak keluar explore cari makanan sekitar situ), pastu tidur. Esok gonna be longggg day, so ayuhlah kita berehat.

DAY 2 - 25 Julai 2017.

The Lodge Maribaya mengungguli carta, tapi bapak supir kata 'jika sempat'. Yam macam, eh pehal pulak. Ke situ lah dulu, nak ke mana lagi? Tapi beliau bawa kami ikut itinerary biasa beliau : Farmhourse Lembang, Tangkuban Parahu, Floating Market dan Dusun Bambu. Yes, at the end of the day, we couldnt make it to The Lodge Maribaya.

Sedikit terkilan di situ, sebab masa di Malaysia, bila ditanya service diorang ni, diorang cakap, kami supir sepanjang hari. Bilang saja mau ke mana, kami turuti. Minyak, parking, upah driver, semua inclusive.

Tapi bila sampai sini jadi macam ni, terkilanlah sikit. Takpelah, takde rezeki. Maybe next time laaa naik Sky House ke Zipline tu keeeeee hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

So destinasi pertama kami ialah Farmhouse Lembang. Salah satu destinasi dalam list.

Kami sampai awal sangat, Farmhouse tak bukak pun lagi. Soooo bapak supir ajak mengopi dulu di tepi jalan.

Haa nampak tak bapak supirnya buat peace tuuu? Haha yang Cikgu Kamal tu pulak sibuk kupas ubi keledek madu siap direbus. IDR 5000 je sekilo! RM1.50 kak oi.

Okeyyy lepas Farmhouse bukak, maka kami terus masuk. Orang tak ramai lagi, matahari pun tak berapa garang lagi sinarannya, maka ayuhlahhh

Serious lawa dalam niii. Dia macam tempat tarikan untuk those yang suka bunga, nature dan sort of senibina jugak. Suhu yang agak sejuk reminded me of Cameron Highlands.

 My two loyal photographers ihikhikhok

And we spent like an hour kot kat sini.

Lepastu kami gerak ke Tangkuban Parahu. Haa pasal TP niii sebenarnya all the way from Malaysia lagi kami contemplated sama ada nak masuk ke tak.

Maribaya aku mana?!' Haha pesen susah nak move on macenilah.

Sampai atas,  bapak supir sungguh-sungguh pesan, JANGAN beli apa-apa kat sini sebab mahallll.

It was really niceeeee. Seriously. Breathtakingly amazing. Subhanallah sungguh!

Tapi kalau korang larat, silalahhhh! Yam sokong seratus persen! Bayar memahal kannn. Haha

*sembah Ratu Asiah kekekekekek*

Penatlah sikit nak mendaki tangga, tapi no worries wehh. View dia lawa yang amat, hingga kau lupa lelah yang melanda.

Contohnya gambar ni. Indah bukan? Hehehehehehe

Okehhh lepastu kami dibawa makan di satu restoran makanan Sunda. It was fun, sebab tepi ladang. Kami duduk bersila tepi tingkap, kat tanah kat bawah tuuu diorang tanam kobis lah apabenda lahh.

Dia macam Floating Market Thailand katanya, tapi comes with great landscape. Serious wehh.

Kitorang tak pasti naik kat mana botnya, pastuuu kitorang macam terpukau dengan keindahan landskap dia, so we just kept walking till the end. Dengar katanya, kalau naik bot/perahu tuu kena bayar murah jee. So korang kalau berpeluang, pegi naiklah perahu, balik nanti jalan. Merasa lah dedua. Tapi worries not, nak jalan je pun tak rugi. Serious lawa wehhh, pusing satu round pun rasa tak puas.

Ginilah kawasan Floating Marketnyaaa. Memang transaksi dari dalam perahu. Dekat tepi-tepi tu ada jugak booth tukar coin. Kalau korang nak beli apa-apa, kena tukar IDR jadi coin dulu.

Cikgu Kamal suruh snap sekeping gambar dia di tengah sawah padi kekononnya haha ;)

Again, tiket entrance jangan buang.

It was fun indeed.

"Ya emangnya jika dipaksa gitu, saya menurut aja."

Gitu pulak katanya, kita paksa dia ya. Haha apa-apa aje lah, pak.

Kesimpulan untuk trip hari ni ;

Farmhouse Lembang - bagus pergi masa awal pagi sebab suasana masih sangat nyaman dan segar, bila dikelilingi pokok tuu rasa best sangat. Recommended, silalah pergi.

Tangkuban Parahu - different people may have different opinion. Mungkin sebab Yam jalan dengan mak dan ayah, diorang okey je bayar mahal sikit nak tengok kawah gunung berapi. Bagi kita yang muda-muda ni apalah sangat kan, tapi this might be a new thing for them selama mereka hidup. Soooo kalau trip dengan parents, silalah pergi. Mahal la sikit. Tapi view dia lawa, serius weh. Yam tak nyesal pun bayar memahal masuk dalam ni. Tapi pepandai la menghayati dan menghargai. Okeh?

Okeylah not bad ye :)

Dusun Bambu - Sebab tempat-tempat lain pun boleh tahan dah lawanya the environment and surroundings, kalau tak ke sini pun takpe kot. Plus bila jalan banyak-banyak awal-awal tadi, sampai kat Dusun Bambu ni dah petang, bateri kau dah depleted, tak larat dah. Sebab konsep dia lebih kurang sama je. Back to nature.

Cihampelas Walk - best oi! Kalau ada tenaga lebih, jenjalanlah kat sini. Murah dan menarik! Dia macam gerai-gerai yang banyak atas jejantas. Ala-ala skywalk. Err ke skyshopping? Haha silalah ke mari kalau sempat yaa! :)

[TIPS : Mohon sangat lakukan private research on the places yang kau nak pergi. Kalau tanya tourguide, diorang memang akan listkan ALL the places yg senang dan mudah diorang nak pergi, plus mungkin dapat komisen for bringing in customers. Mungkin ada tempat yang kita tak nak pergi pun, contohnya macam kitorang, supir nak bawa ke tempat Kopi Luwak, tapi sebab mak dan ayah dah tahu how that thing works, so kitorang cakap kitorang nak skip ke Kopi Luwak tuu, maka tak pergilah ke sana. Jimat masa, duit dan tenaga hehe. So, please do your own research pasal interesting places, and request je kat Bapak Supir. Sepatutnya, he should have no problem to bring you anywhere - sebab tu termaktub dalam servis dia]

Okehhh Part 2 untuk Edisi Bandung Day 3 and 4 akan disambung bebila masa budak Yam ni rasa rajin.

Semoga ketemu lagi, babai.

Wassalam.

Of 2016.

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Hello, 2017. It has been quite a while since 2017 is with us, but due to time restraint, this is my first time of blogging in this new year.

2016 has been quite a year for me. From January to December, either with friends or family members, either with assignments and lecturers, and mixture of feelings that blended very well, with spices of lessons that enhanced the taste of life - everything had been so great.

Overall, I am very glad to reminisce the days of 2016, which some of them might not be forgotten from my memory forever.

January 2016 began with a nice trip of me, together with my parents and my sister Mayyah, to my brother Ijat's house at Langkawi. It was amazing that it was the first time I enjoyed cable car ride with Mak, and spent Ayah's birthday at Langkawi together with the siblings :)

February, March and April and even May 2016 had been super busy months for me, as a final year law student. With the usual and regular type of assignments, tutorial questions, and additional of oral and written submissions for legal practice subjects, as well as file submissions according to datelines.
It was a new experience in new ambient as I had not been that busy ever since my first day at law school. Law school had been busy with reading all the materials; statutes, legal textbooks, encyclopedia, journal etc, but the business of a final year student was much more than that :'D (some stories about a 4th year law school stud can be read here -> http://maryam-kamal.blogspot.my/2016/04/cakap-siang-pandang-pandang-d.html )

On May 2016, my family and I were surprised with an incident. Again, I went to Langkawi to facilitate Ijat and his family, who had lost their youngest newest baby in the family. He named her #AisyahNurJannah, and it was a reflection trip for me. The baby bump of my sister in law that I saw back then in January, was no longer there, and we did not have the opportunity to even see the baby's face, as she was kept eternally very quickly. Only Ijat was able to at least kiss and have her in his embrace. Langkawi is never the same anymore. It is now a land that keeps a precious body of our family member, who we are yet to meet. Looking forward to see you in Jannah, Aisyah. Insha ALLAH :') [story about our beloved Aisyah can be read here -> http://maryam-kamal.blogspot.my/2016/05/tarik-aku-sama-denganmu.html ]

Of 2016, June was the month of fasting (Ramadhan) and July was the Eid (Syawal). We spent nice time together as family, in celebrating both holy months. After the Raya, my university classmates and I went to Penang to attend some friends' wedding. It was indeed a very precious memories with my friends. We had really good times together, and those moments will always be cherished by me :)

August 2016, another achievement unlocked for me myself. I drove by myself all the way from Pasir Mas to Kuala Perlis, via the scary Grik route haha. It is known to be a challenging route even for senior drivers, whatmore for a 4-5 years of experience driver like me myself.

It was actually Ayah's idea, which then agreed by Mak, so I put my trust to me myself, as they seemed to believe in me so much. And yes, like they opined, alhamdulillah I successfully and safely drove me myself, and Mayyah there. We then got on the ferry to Langkawi, which later picked up by Ayah who was already there, taking a flight from KL. (story about this journey can be read here -> http://maryam-kamal.blogspot.my/2016/08/pasir-mas-kuala-perlis-another.html )

August also usually meant for #PercutianGadisOgos for Scha, Fiq and me myself. Past three years, we went to PCB and on 2015, we went backpacking to Penang. For 2016, we suggested many places (as usual) but they ended up agreeing with me who stubbornly wanted to hike Bukit Keluang, Terengganu. Together with some other ex-classmates of our alma mater, Maahad Muhammadi (P), we did hike Bukit Keluang, picnic at its beach and later spent our night there, enjoying the food and beach which were so nice, and we could not ask for more! Indeed the time spent with these #FiqSchaYam girls was so memorable, plus with the girls of MMP whom I had not met for quite some time. (story about this trip can be read here -> http://maryam-kamal.blogspot.my/2016/08/percutian-gadis-ogos-30-bukit-keluang_26.html )

Aidiladha was then celebrated on September 2016, and as usual, my family and I had nice time celebrating it together. (story for Aidiladha can be read here -> http://maryam-kamal.blogspot.my/2016/09/aidiladha-1437h-nati-mari-semula-deh.html )

A bit later after that, I visited Syahirah, a close friend of mine when I was in matric center back then in PJ, who is majoring in Medicine, so her faculty is located at IIUM Kuantan instead of Gombak. She brought me for sightseeing of Kuantan. Though only in short time, we had fun together, provided the fact that we had not met each other since past 3-4 years. I am very lucky to have her in my life, a friend who always sees and highlights many positive things in me when I could not see any.

On October, again, I went to Langkawi. This time, a family trip with the whole family members, including my eldest brother, Abang Mat and his family, as well as Kak Tie and her family. All 5 of us - the siblings, with both of our parents, including Ayah's maternal aunty, paid a visit to Ijat's house and we were blessed with so much fun. After all, bonding and spending time together were the main key, so anything we did actually did not really matter. But being at picturesque Langkawi, great  activities indeed brought us closer, such as the adventurous island hopping, not to mention the compulsory numerous times of visit to Haji Ismail Group :'D

Fiq also had her #PreConvo shoot at Bukit Tinggi on that October. It was an impromptu idea of mine to bring her all the way from Gombak to Bukit Tinggi. The place was well-known to be nice but I had never been there. She also. So we two, together with Scha, enjoyed and had our really nice time up there. Not only capturing pictures with good views, but also capturing moments with good memories. It was short; only a half day trip, nevertheless I couldn't be thankful more for the beautiful time we spent together as #FiqSchaYam.

It was November back then when my favorite senior in law school, Kak Khairunnisa who I dearly call as Kak Krun, had her first graduation. It was for her LLB, and this year for her LLBS, we will be graduating together in the same graduation ceremony, as I will be graduating as a LLB as well. Nevertheless, the past November was for her LLB, and I was super happy to see her prettily in the robe that suited she really well. She had been a very nice and amazing senior of mine, from my first day in matric, all the way until I am in my final year LLB. In fact, she is willing to help me for my LLBS as well, though it is yet to begin. Only ALLAH knows how much this lady has helped me with, which me myself cannot afford to pay all her kindness. May ALLAH bless her with everything she wants in her life. Aamiin. Congrats, akak! :3

And the last month of the year came. December. It indeed brought a lot of things as closing of 2016. On 1st and 2nd day of December, I had two trials to attend, in a row. 1/12 was my last trial for Civil Procedure II, as a final year student. The next day, we were up for Criminal Procedure's mock trial, which both had been done successfully, I guess. And I am very thankful for being blessed with good group members throughout this last semester of LLB in IIUM.

Next, Aisya Medina bt Mustaqim, Nadia Amilin's newborn baby came to the world on 5th, and she is the living proof that you can be really strong in facing things, when being strong is the only option you have. #FiqSchaYam have known some of the stories of Nadia, a very close friend of ours since our school days, struggling with her life as a Medic student as well as a young wife, and the eldest daughter to a big family. She handled her life excellently, and the source of the strength seems to be the little Medina. May you grow up to be a fine, and even stronger lady like your Ibu, Medina sayang!

And December was the most memorable month to me, when Kak Tie left her #AdamMujahid to me, to be taken care of, while she was away with her hubby, BangNaim and our parents to perform umrah. To stabilize my life as a final year final sem student, and to take care of Adam Mujahid who seemed to miss his parents a lot, I struggled a bit.

Luckily, Abang Mat and his family, as well as Mayyah were there as well to assist me, thus I was very grateful. Our bond was also being strengthened, we also learnt a lot of things and lessons together from this matter, and I saw that as blessing in disguise. Cant be thankful enough for all the hikmah that I was allowed to see through.

There it was, how I spent my 2016. Happiness, with numerous trips to Langkawi. Thrilled with the adventure of life, the lost of Aisyah, and the usual hardships of a student of law school. I would happily remember those things, that taught me many things of life lessons.

For these opportunity to feel all these different feelings, I cannot thank ALLAH enough. He allowed me to experience new things I have not before, and blessed me with His endless rezeki and rahmah.

May 2017 bring a better me, so that I can serve better than the best not only to Him The Almight, but to the people around me as well, insha ALLAH.

Wallahu'alam, wassalam.
